WHAT IS SLIME?

Making slime is science! Slime is chemistry! Chemistry is all about states of matter including liquids, solids, and gases. It is about the way the different glues and activators come together to make the goey product.

Fun Fact: This is probably why I also enjoy baking. I like using different ingredients to make the best sweet treats ever!

DO YOU HAVE A PHYSICAL STORE LOCATION WHERE I CAN BUY SLIME AND/OR HAVE A SLIMEBRATION?

No, not yet but maybe one day. For now you can support my shoppe by buying slime online, attending a slime class, booking a Slimebration (party) at your home/offsite/virtual, or by visiting my Slime Bar at a local pop-up shop.

WHAT TYPE OF SLIMES DO YOU SELL?

Butter - Do you want salted or unsalted? Just kidding, butter slime isn't actually made from real butter. It does have a cool, buttery-like texture though. Instead of being super stretchy, it is easier to mold because some recipes have a clay add-in.

Clear - Peek-a-boo...can you see me? Clearly, you can because clear slime is a see through slime that is stretchy and very pokey (if that's a word...LOL).

Cloud Cream - Also known as Snow Cloud...this slime is amazing to play with. It has the best drizzle and looks like a floating cloud or snow powder.

Fluffy - At Camryn's Slime Shoppe we like our fluffy slime like we like our pillows...fluffy. Fluffy slime is really just a traditional slime made with shaving cream added. The more you add, the “fluffier” it gets.

We're always adding new slimes so subscribe to our site to stay on top of the latest and greatest news from our Shoppe.

WHY DO PEOPLE ENJOY PLAYING WITH SLIME?

I enjoy playing with it because it is goey and fun to stretch, poke, knead, and make bubbles with. I love hearing the cracks in the slime after I've made a bubble. Squishing the slime between your fingers can also be a great way to relieve stress.

HOW DO YOU PLAY WITH SLIME?

There is no right way. You can poke, knead, squish, mold, swirl, make bubbles, and of course stretch. There are endless possibilities. Just do whatever makes you happy but be sure to play with it on a dry, clean surface. That's the golden rule in our home (LOL)!

WHAT IN THE WORLD IS ASMR?

If you are new to slime lingo, you may not be familiar with ASMR. The purpose of ASMR is to relax and calm people. ASMR videos give viewers a calming feeling that they can sometimes feel in the back of their head or spine.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY SLIME ARRIVES AND IT IS STICKY?

Slime can melt in high heat and in direct sunlight. This is normal with homemade slime. You may need to re-activate it every few weeks to maintain its consistency, as the activator does not last forever.

Before playing with your slime you should try washing your hands (and dry them well)! Sometimes, sweaty or warm hands can make slime feel stickier. If your slime is still too sticky, try making some slime activator! You should use 1 cup of warm water to 1 teaspoon of baking soda or borax (ask for a parent to help if you need it). After your activator is made, add a few drops to your slime and mix in well. Be careful and don't add too much. If you add too much your slime will get very hard, and you don't want that to happen.
